Shop Small Business in Greendale This Saturday

Village Center businesses will be participating in the national movement.

Nov. 26 will be the second annual national Small Business Saturday and many Greendale business are participating. 

This day is dedicated to supporting small businesses during one of busiest shopping weekends of the year. The Greendale Village Center has a number of small businesses on Broad street, some old and some new, that plan to participate. 

is having 10% off all sales over $10 on Friday and Saturday. will have discounted items Friday and Saturday. t will be giving a gift with a $20 purchase or more.

“I think it’s important that the community support small business because it’s a way for them to survive and flourish during tough economic times,” said Diane Chilinski, owner of .

Anne Schimmel, owner of , echoed the same thoughts as Chilinski.  She said that there are items in her store that cannot be found in big box stores.

"Greendale Shops are among the most unique anywhere," said Village President John Hermes. "Where else can you feel as much Holiday spirit?  These shops are dependent upon select shoppers but also need the support of all Greendale residents.  The historic Village Center has always been an integral part of Greendale commerce and  we all must ensure the center remains strong and vibrant throughout its future.  Tell your friends and family to come shop Greendale's Village Center."

Get out on Saturday and shop local. Broad Street and Parking Street has plenty of businesses with unique items. They also have great food locations. If you want a hot drink, stop into . How about a burger? Try .

The fun doesn't end on Saturday. Village Center Businesses will be holding Ultimate Holiday Shopping Nights. Some business will stay open later than usual and offer in-store specials from Nov. 25 till Christmas.
