Ricardo's Pizza Makes Top 100 List

Greendale's Ricardo's Pizza made the list of the top 100 independent pizza joints in Pizza Today magazine for its high gross sales of $2.4 million.

Who doesn't love pizza? I can eat pizza every day.

Seriously, I can.

So you can understand why I was so excited to hear that Ricardo’s Pizza in Greendale made the list of the top 100 independent pizza joints by gross sales in the industry magazine Pizza Today.

Ricardo’s ranked 80th on list, along with its second location Riverfront Pizzeria & Grill in Milwaukee. The restaurants together brought in $2.4 million in 2011.

Other Wisconsin pizza places that made the list include Pizza Shuttle in Milwaukee and Glass Nickel Pizza Co. based in Madison.

About Ricardo’s Pizza

Greendale has been the home to Ricardo's Pizza since 1970. The Loch family began the Italian restaurant as a pizzeria and expanded to a new menu of pastas, sandwiches, and other entrées after their move to their current location on Broad Street in 1999.

The menu offers a wide variety of Italian entrees, pastas, salads and specialty pizzas.

Monday nights feature the endless pizza buffet. For $8.75 per person, guests receive garlic bread and marinara as well as an unlimited amount of pizza.

There are specials in the bar several nights, including Thursday Ladies' Nights with select martinis and wines costing $5.

For those that wish to dine at home, most of the menu is available for carry-out.

In the summer months, Ricardo's offers outdoor dining.

This isn't a list that is determined by the quality of the pizza, it's the top 100 money making, independent pizza places...

I remember going to Ricardo's in 1970. Glad they are doing so well.

Congrats to the Loch family. Ricardo's has stood the test of time and it is great to see a small business like this do so well. Keep up the great job running a successful business.
