New Business Q&A: Leaves Floral Design & Gift Boutique
New Greendale business is more than just a flower shop. The store, which opened this month, specializes in floral designs for weddings, holidays and pecial occasions.
Leaves Floral Design & Gift Boutique has just opened its second location at 5626 Broad St. in Greendale. There is already a store in Muskego. Patch chatted with owner Jamie Foshey to find out more about the shop.
Q: Tell us about your business and what makes it unique.
A: We are a full-service floral shop specializing in weddings, holiday, special occasions, sympathy floral design as well as floral design workshops which are open to the public. At our Greendale location, we will also offer our floral design workshops as a place to host birthday parties, "Girl's Night Out", or for other private events. Our gift items offered in both of our stores are unique in the fact that they are created by local artists in the Milwaukee area. We love the local talent in this area and our gift shops give these artists a place to sell and showcase their talents.
Q: Tell us something about your business that most customers probably don't know.
A: We love being part of the communities in which we serve. With that, we try be involved in our youth sporting groups, schools and other community groups when it comes to local sponsorships through advertising and assisting with fundraising events.
Q: What is your most popular service?
A: We specialize in wedding floral design. No matter what size your budget is, we can create a floral design that represents your special day and still works with your budget. Whether it's a small, intimate gathering in a backyard or park or if it's a lavish weddings at a venue with a large number of guests, we do it all. We also offer wedding and event planning services for your special event.

Q: How does your business connect with the community?
A: The majority of our advertising is done through local groups. Whether it's through purchasing an advertising space in a local sports program or through donating flowers to a charity fundraiser, we love our communities and we try to give back as much as we can.
