"I usually shop out at Mayfair but now that we have one at Southridge, it’s closer to home," McNally said.

Southridge Macy's Charity Shopping Day last Saturday raised more than $15,000 for about 40 Milwaukee-area Charities. Organizations sold $5 shopping passes and were able to keep all the proceeds.

The store is a two-level building totaling 150,000 square feet and includes a full range of apparel and accessories for women, men and children as well as housewares, home textile and luggage.

Macy's opening comes at a crucial time, when the 76th street corridor is seeing a lot of development.
