Lotions & Potions Will Probably Close Its Doors in June

The owner of the store is still looking for a buyer, otherwise it will close in June.

After 12 years of business in the village will probably close its doors permanently if it does not find a buyer sometime in June.Β 

Dee Dee Ternes, owner of , says that the store's lease will up at the end of June and will close the store around the third week of June if a buyer isn't found.

She has decided to step down as a business owner to pursue volunteer work and spend more time with her family.

Ternes volunteers at Milwaukee Basics, a ministry that works towards breaking down poverty, disease, illiteracy, violence and hunger. She is looking to dedicate more time to the ministry.

"That’s where my heart is," she says.

and wishes to find a buyer so that the store wouldn't have to close.

"It was a really hard decision to make because the store has been here for 12 years."

In bath and body products the shop carries the Lotions & Potions brand, Crabtree & Evelyn, Thymes, Burt's Bee's and other brands. Once the store closes people can order the Lotions & Potions brand online from its Arizona location. Ternes says that others shops in the village are thinking about carrying the other brands. She said , and have shown interest in carrying the other brands.

The store currently has all items at 15 percent off, unless marked more. The Lotions & Potions brand is marked at 30 percent off. Ternes says that more mark downs will come after May 18 but doesn't guarantee a large selection.
