Harmony Inn Closing, Bartolotta Restaurant Opening

Harmony Inn the Village will be closing and Bartolotta Restaurant Group will open in its place in late August.

Restaurant will close soon, making way for a new Bartlotta restaurant.

The classic supper club is expected to open in the Harmony Inn location in late August. The restaurant will be remodeled, said Andrea Brinkman, marketing director for Wauwatosa-based Bartolotta Restaurant Group.

The company will open a Mequon location with the same concept in September. Both locations will have the same name, Brinkman said, but the name has not been determined yet.

The Greendale location will have approximately 200 seats with several private dining rooms. Both locations will offer dinner, Sunday brunch and outdoor patio dining. Corporate Chef Adam Siegel will lead the culinary team with each location’s executive chef to be named in the coming weeks.

The Bartollota press release says, "With high wood ceilings, a friendly hometown atmosphere and ample parking, guests of Bartolotta’s newest venues will enjoy a full menu with classic supper club fare, a large bar including a selection of tap beer, classic cocktails, value-oriented wine offerings and signature ice cream drinks."

“We are proud to have the first Bartolotta restaurant to come to Milwaukee's south side in the heart of our Greendale community,” said Village President John Hermes in a release from Bartolotta. "The Bartolotta Restaurants are known for memorable meals with exceptional food and we look forward to this exciting addition for our village."

Bartolotta Restaurant Group operates 13 venues, catering services and a new gastropub, The Rumpus Room.

“Growing up and living in Milwaukee most of my life, I enjoyed frequent visits to many great establishments which created memorable evenings for my family,” said Joe Bartolotta, President and Co-Owner of The Bartolotta Restaurants. “We’re looking forward to embracing a traditional Wisconsin supper club experience with a casual hometown atmosphere, comfort foods, classic beverages and of course, service you would expect in any of our venues.”

Hooray - this unique and high quality establishment - which can draw patrons to the VIllage Center from all over - is what we need more of. Now lets hope they will have plenty of outdoor seating too.

Sounds like a great addition to the Village Center. Wonderful news for visitors and residents alike!

It's sad to see Harmony Inn close its doors. Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful service. Can't ask for more than that. Sharon Owen and the restaurant staff outdid themselves for our wedding reception. It always will be a special place for our family.

Hopefully they will interview the current staff? I too look forward to the open seating.

Hip Hip Hooray! Breakfast at a resturant that doesn't open until 8:00 am? Not open for dinner? What kind of a resturant is that? It's no wonder they will not remain open. Like most of the stores in the village they are mostly closed.

Yet another Village business bites the dust. Could it be the hours weren't conducive to the consumer?
Brenda Newman May 18, 2012 at 08:13 pm
I agree, Hip Hip Hooray. Looking forward to an excellent restaurant in the village. Ricardos is great, Ferch's is great and now Bartolotta.

and you thought the shops were expensive
? LOL
Carol May 19, 2012 at 04:17 pm
Seems like no one is ever happy! People weren't happy with the re-sale shop opening cause they said it wasn't good enough for the Village. Now you're complaining about the new restaurant. I love the shops we have & love Margo's. I'm sorry to see Harmony close and feel bad that they didn't make it, but Bartolatta restaurant will do very well cause the name is well known.

I will miss Harmony Inn. I am saddened to see such a unique establishment close. Our family has many fond memories of dining there... And of the barbershoppers.

$35-45 per person when Bartolotta's opens? Seriously?
Bill Mack June 25, 2012 at 08:44 pm
Trudy, there is always McDonald's, we live in America, your choice.

We can look up to see who signed a recall of their elected official because of grievances, but weRead More cannot look up who donated large wads of ca$h to the same official's campaign...Thank you GOP for turning that window of open accountability into a one-way mirror with the GOP looking out and everyone else stuck looking inward, wandering why we don't get the same vantage point. A bit hypocritical don't you think? And BTW, your GOP budget just ticked off every principal, superintendent and public school family in the state of WI today. Good luck on that second term of negative growth (-0.74).

I think Scott Walker's record speaks for itself in terms of state job growth and misplacedRead More priorities. "Blue fisters" didn't create Scott Walker, he's been a creature of ALEC since the early 1990s. Let's see if he decides to do a Bachmann in 2014. A lot of people who didn't vote in the recall election because they didn't understand/agree may not have voted for him in 2010. Anyone who has a 20-something college grad who can't find a job, male spouse, family member or friend in their 50s who can't find a job, was cut from needed health care benefits, etc., is bound to be looking for better leadership.
