Florist Opening Second Location in Downtown Greendale

Jamie Foshey has had a Muskego store for about a year, but is bringing her floral designs to Greendale in July 2013.

Over the years, downtown Greendale has seen plenty of great shops move in.

Next month, it will finally have a florist.

Jamie Foshey, owner of Leaves Floral Design & Gift Boutique in Muskego, plans to open a second business in half of the former Seasons of the Heart location.

Ferch’s, Foshey said, is taking over the other half of the space vacated when Seasons of the Heart moved up the road.

“We’re growing and expanding and (Greendale) just made sense,” Foshey said. “I work at a restaurant Franklin and get a lot of Greendale residents, and they love it there and they go on and on about how great it is.”

Foshey’s business started out of her home in Muskego, before she opened a florist shop in Muskego last April. She’s participated in area farmer’s markets for years, including Greendale’s, which is when she built some relationships with members of the community.

Foshey’s new location, slated to open Saturday, July 13, will offer traditional florists services for everything from weddings to funerals to corporate fundraisers. There will also be local gift items.

One difference from Foshey’s Muskego location, which will remain open, is that the new Greendale shop will have more space for workshops to help customers learn how to do their own floral arrangements and projects.
