Construction Underway for Outdoor Seating at Ricardo's Pizza

Outdoor dining will be ready for customers in a couple weeks.

Construction has begun on the fence that will enclose a few tables for outdoor dining.

The Board of Trustees approved a permit in July that would allow outdoor dining at Ricardo’s on Broad Street.

Richard Loch, the owner of the restaurant, had been struggling for two years in trying to create outdoor dining. The struggles were due to serving alcoholic beverages outdoors. According to ordinance, outdoor dining needs to be in a regulated and in a controlled area if alcohol is going to be served.

As a solution Loch is building a fence around the area with about four tables and will be built in between the restaurant and the water fountain.

Loch said that it should be ready for customers in about a week to 10 days.
