The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the remodeling is part of a Milwaukee area effort to spruce up several of the company's stores. The plan includes doubling the size of the women's shoe departments and expanding children's apparel at Southridge, Brookfield Square and Mayfair and adding brands such as Joan and David, Michael Kors and Betsey Johnson.
In the last six months , , and have also undergone renovations.
Boston Store will begin remodeling in October and plans to finish in August 2012, Schrantz said.
According to the Journal Sentinel, the store will have lighter color palette, a more contemporary design and a more open floor plan, similar to the ones at Mayfair and Brookfield Square.
"BonTon’s announcement that it will be renovating and updating its Southridge Boston Store location is the latest exciting announcement coming out of Greendale’s 76th Street Corridor," said Greendale Village President John Hermes.
