Aunt Millie's Bakery Outlet Replaces Hostess Thrift Store

Hostess has been closed since November, but Aunt Millie's has been around since April.

Do you miss snatching up discounted bread and bakery goods at the Hostess Thrift Store on Loomis Road just outside of Greendale?

If you do, you don’t have to travel too far to get those items even though Hostess closed in November.

Aunt Millie’s Bakery Outlet have moved into the vacant store at 5340 W. Loomis Rd. It’s been open since April 22.

“The story behind Aunt Millie’s is all about family,” store manager Stephanie Miller said. “It’s good customer service, great items and good, low prices.”

The outlet sells bread items usually past their “best by” date, as well as fresh pies, cakes and other backed goods.

Aunt Millie’s has been around for 110 years with locations in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. The Greenfield store is Wisconsin’s first.

The bakery outlet is open seven days a week: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
