Spring Art Show at Trimborn Farm

Pairing art and history, the 6th annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show and Sale was held Saturday at the Trimborn Farm in Greendale.

The weather didn't cooperate for the 6th annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show and Sale at the Trimborn Farm in Greendale on Saturday, but a faithful following of Milwaukee County Historical Society events did.

According to event organizers, this year's show beat out the previous year in attendance despite an abundance of clouds and rain.

Approximately 30 vendors of various arts and crafts were spread out among the farm's acreage with a handful of vendors setting up shop in the horse stables and barn. In addition to the vendors, all of the buildings on the property, including the neighboring Jeremiah Curtain house, were open to the public with free guided tours.

The Spring show kicks off a busy summer schedule of events at the Trimborn Farm. Workshops, daycamps, a new World War II Encampment and an ethnic concert series are scheduled to preclude the 29th annual Harvest of Art and Crafts Show in September, which will feature more than 120 exhibitors.
