Science Night at American Science & Surplus for 75th Anniversary

To commemorate its 75th anniversary American Science & Surplus is hosting their inaugural "Science Night" at their Milwaukee store from 6 to 10 p.m. this Friday, July 13th.

Science Night's promise to be fun, exciting and educational for Milwaukean's and all ages (from 1-100!) are welcome to participate in the festivities! More information is at the website, www.sciplus.com.

6-10pm  Explore and Learn
Our staff will be helping to engage
minds and promote learning through
fun, interesting and interactive
demonstrations though out the store
during the entire evening.
6-7pm  Telescope Workshop
Bring in your old telescope and we
will help you get it back into working
order. We will also be answering
questions and demonstrating how to
set up and use a telescope.

7-8pm  Microscope Workshop
While our microscopes will be set up
for your use all evening, during this
time we will demonstrate slide
making and sample staining, and
explain and demonstrate the different
features that microscopes can offer

8-10pm  Telescope Viewing
We will have our telescopes set up
outside, weather permitting, and take
a journey across the heavens. Bring
your scope and join us as we view
Saturn, nebulas, galaxies, star
clusters and Earth’s own amazing
moon this year.

For each of these events there will be a
number of displays, demonstrations and
hands-on opportunities for everyone to
explore, tweak and enjoy that will be
centered around the evening’s theme.
