Annual Walking Garden Tour is Saturday

The 19th annual edition of the tour is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon and begins at the gazebo in downtown Greendale.

Put on your walking shoes this weekend and stop and smell the roses.

The 19th annual Greendale Garden Walk Tour is Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to noon.

According to the Greendale Garden Gazing website, the walking tour begins at the Greendale Gazebo downtown on Broad Street. Those participating in the tour can pick up a map and head out at your own pace on the self-guided tour.

Just follow your map, signs, chalk arrows and signposts in front of the featured gardeners.

Homeowners will be available to answer questions about their gardens.

There is a rest area along the path, and refreshments served along the way.

Participants are encouraged to leave themselves 1-2 hours to complete the tour and are welcomed back to the gazebo afterward to enter a free raffle drawing and enjoy musical entertainment.

There is no charge for the walking tour, but donations to defray expenses are appreciated.
