World Travel With a Twist the Greendale Library

'One World, Many Stories' is one of many summer programs at the library.

In keeping with the 2011 Summer Reading theme “One World, Many Stories” Greendale Public Library will be offering programs with a world travel twist.

Youth Program – One World, Many Stories

The Youth Program begins with an ice cream social kickoff at the Library on June 13 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Register for summer reading, pick up your reading passport, enjoy some delicious ice cream and check out books to start the summer reading list.  There will also be a visit from one of the world famous Brewers Racing Sausages!

In the “One World, Many Stories” reading club, children can earn prizes by reading independently or by being read to.  Children record the titles read — OR — time spent reading in their Summer Reading Passport. Kids will receive a coupon pack when they complete their first passport.  They can continue reading and receive either an entry form for a prize drawing or a book from our prize book cart! The MORE passports entered, the MORE chances to win prizes!  There will also be weekly drawings!

In addition to reading club, kids and families can participate in Travel Tuesday programs, Thursday Family Fun Nights, Lego Club and Summer Baby Story Time at the Gazebo.
