UPDATED: Water Main Break Leaves 30 Customers Without Service

A water main broke in downtown Greendale Sunday, creating issues throughout the village.

A water main break in Greendale's Village Center was creating problems with low water pressure and complete loss of service throughout the village Sunday.

Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News report that the break occurred between Broad Street and Dale Lane, leaving about 30 customers completely without water service.

Some residents are reporting they were without water earlier Sunday, however, Greendale police said the only problem now is low water pressure.

Patch reader Jason Dembosky says the break in the 12-inch main occurred at 9 a.m. Sunday. The cause of the break is not yet clear.

Patch has calls into the Public Works Department and village president and will provide updates as we get them.
