Updated Schedule for 4th of July Celebration

Note that there are changes from last year's schedule.

There are changes in the 4th of July celebration in Greendale this year.

  • Participants in Greendale's upcoming 4th of July parade will not be lining up this year in the Southridge Mall parking lot as in years past. Parade participants should enter from either S 68th Street or westbound Grange Ave.  These lanes will be shut down to westbound traffic and motorists will be redirected prior to the line up. The line-up will begin at 9 a.m.
  • This year the Public Celebrations Committee has separated the children’s unit from the regular parade to allow them to finish and watch the remainder of the parade.  The Children’s Parade will start at 9:45 AM. In the past, the Children's Parade has immediately preceded the main parade down Broad Street .

Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence
Flag pole at Village Hall, 6500 Northway


Monday, July 4th 9:45 a.m.
4th of July Children’s Parade (kids 10 & under, accompanied by an adult)
9:00 a.m. line-up at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church.  Plan to drop off only – no parking near the parade route. Decorated bikes, tricycles & wagons welcome. (No motorized vehicles permitted).

4th of July Parade
Parade begins at Grange & Northway, Northway to Broad Street and ends at Greendale High School (see map of parade route in attached PDF)

Ice Cream Give-A-Way- at Jaycee park

American Legion Post 416 Corn Roast on Broad Street & Schoolway (Gazebo Park). Serving corn, baked potatoes, root beer floats, nachos, lemonade, soda & bottled water.

Sunday, July 3 * 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Monday, July 4 * 9:00 am - 9:00 pm

Greendale Lions Club Food & Beer Garden on Broad Street & Schoolway (Gazebo Park). Serving brats, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, beer, wine coolers, soda & bottled water.
