The Greendale Historical Society will be holding the second annual walk at the Hose Tower. A fundraising campaign is being prepared for the renovation of the Hose Tower.

The Greendale Historical Society offers the second annual “Halloween Walk Through The Woods,” on October 22 with interactive activities starting at the Hose Tower.

The walk will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for $1 per child and the first 144 children will receive a free bag of candy.  Children in K4 through 4th grade will enjoy the interactive displays as chaperones escort the children along the walking path.

New this year is a short play in the woods presented by adolescent actors from  “A Company of Kids” theatre group. These child friendly actors will perform a medley of Halloween scenes and interact with the audience.  Also new this year is Halloween face painting either before or after the walk is completed. While the children walk through the woods their parents will be able to enjoy some refreshments inside the Hose Tower.
