Greendale High School baseball prospect Zach Hendersen will sign a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Missouri, Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Hendersen will make the signing official at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Drilling’s Panther Pub & Eatery, 5651 Broad St., Greendale.
Hendersen, a senior, was an All Conference selection for the outfield and topped the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association season-ending all-state summer baseball teams, the first Panther in 32 years to earn the award.
Hendersen stands 6’3” and 215 pounds and is also a right-handed pitcher. Perfect Game USA says he has a “Big physical build, very good present strength for his age.” His fast ball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle and occasional running life, will cut fastball with intent at 83 mph.”
Hendersen had nine scholarship offers. His final decision came down to Northern Illinois, Bradley and Florida International.
Henderson hit .402 this past season with 29 runs, five home runs and 45 RBI.
Prep Baseball Report has him as the top ranked pitcher in the Class of 2014 and the No. 4 prospect in the state.
