The Greendale Historical Society invites you to meet the author of the classic book about Greendale.
Learn about Main Street Ready-Made: The New Deal Community of Greendale, Wisconsin co-authored by Arnold R. Alanen, professor emeritus of landscape architecture at UW-Madison. A new paperback edition, published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press, is available in bookstores. Or purchase one at the meeting where you can have it signed by the author. The open meeting will be held at the Greendale Safety Center.

The Greendale Police Department employs 29 officers, seven full time dispatchers, three part-time dispatchers, transcription personnel, special service officer, volunteer auxiliary officers, and school crossing guards. The department promotes policing, partnerships, and programming throughout the community to ensure the safety of the residents and its businesses.
