Thank you Mike! I totally agree. I am in management at a major area bank and I too am looking forward to the oscars. I think it's great that there is a Wauwatosa tie and am hoping 'Beasts' wins an award. The tiny budget film is competing against others with huge budgets and major actors. You don't have to be in the movie business to enjoy watching these awards. I don't consider myself low …   more ›

Pop culture fame can arrive in a flash. For some, it lasts decades; others see it expire in Andy Warhol’s proverbial 15 minutes. Many of the iconic names in pop culture from 2012 will be long forgotten by the end of 2013. Who are you most rooting for to land in the “Where Are The Now?” file? You can’t watch a commercial during a football game this season without an appearance by Pitbull, whose fame appears entirely attached to appearing in commercials during NFL games. That still exceeds the fame of Kim Kardashian, which appears tied to … well … something. The contest for Biggest Earworm of 2012 is almost a dead heat between “Call Me Maybe” from Carly Rae Jepsen and “Gangam Style” from Psy. Last on our list is Honey Boo Boo, the “Toddlers …
