What Would You Like to See at the Old Bally's Location?

Three new restaurants and DSW are coming to the 76th Street corridor. There is one more vacant building left.

A year ago 76th Street had three vacant buildings. The future looked dim for this corridor, but things are different today.

Throughout the year developers have announced plans for Panda Express and Longhorn Steakhouse  at the old Leath Furniture location, a DSW at the old Borders location, and Chick-Fil-A at one of the Walmart outlots

Walmart will open to the public on New Years. Southridge Mall is just about done with its $52 million renovation and plans to have a grand re-opening in November.

Despite all these exciting plans there is still one building left unoccupied, the old Bally's.

What would you like to see at the old Bally's location?

A Trader Joe's would be awesome.

I agree with Kelly. A Trader Joe's would be great! The one by BayShore is so nice, so I think it would get alot of business being by Southridge.

Trader Joe's would be a great idea! When I visit my brother in CA, we always enjoy shopping at Trader Joe's. It is right in his neighborhood so can visit often. They have great food and beautiful flowers. We need one in our area here.

Trader Joe's would be wonderful! Not sure it would fly with Walmart right across the street : ( A better spot for Trader Joe's would be the old Sentry store on 76th & Rawson to give PNS some competition. Although it would not be an appropriate site, IKEA somewhere in our vacinity would be great. We need a store/restaurant that will draw people to our area. I don't think Macy'snd Longhorn Steakhouse is enough to do that..

Let's aspire to be more like Brookfield Square, Mayfair or BayShore and not another S. 27th Street. How about: Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs, (like others have said) Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, Five Guys burgers, Macaroni Grill. Definitely NOT a Dave & Buster's or Chuck E. Cheese.

Jamba Juice, Robeks, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Cheesecake Factory. We need a business not that common on the southside that will attract people in. We have enough shoe stores!

Unfortunately none of those businesses want to come to the South side because we don't have the lunch crowd or demographics for them to survive. If they thought it would be profitable they would be approaching Simon Company to lease the space. Just remember that the Village itself has no control over who leases that space.

Are you kidding? Of course we have a lunch crowd. Would be nice to have something that isn't by any of the other malls. Cheesecake factory is way over rated. And Whole foods is too big to be in that location. Love Sendik's and don't want anything that will hurt their business.

A trader joe is a good concept but not with walmart foods and 2 pns down to the south and the north. splitting it up between two things maybe. too small for cheesecake factory. a five guys over here would be nice or maybe a caribou coffee. to take the place of loosing seatle best when borders left.

Trader Joe's would be amazing. I certainly have no intentions of visiting the Walmart. Whatever goes in that spot, closest to Greendale/Hales Corners/Franklin, should be special. I weary of chain restaurants.

They also need to put a resteraunt in the back where that tire place was, that place looks broken down and horrible.
