The St. Alphonsus 8th grade girls basketball team took home the championship trophy at the 2012 Padre Serra Tournament this past weekend.
The Cougars overcame a four point deficit at halftime to beat the St. Matthias Bulldogs with a score of 31 to 16.
Katie Gardner and Carly Graverson were named to the All-Tournament team and Carly was honored as the Tournament MVP.
