Southridge Bus Routes Will Not Change
Simon Property Group backed down from the idea.
The Milwaukee County Department of Transportation told the Business Journal that the bus lines will not change at Southridge Mall.
Mall management had previously met with Village of Greendale representatives and county officials about no longer allowing buses to drop-off and pick-up passengers on mall property. The mall has five bus routes and passengers would have had to walk a long distance to reach the mall.
Frank Busalacchi, acting director of the Milwaukee County Department of Transportation, told the Business Journal that mall owners Simon Property Group were backing down from the idea and were going to continue the current service.
County officials will meet with mall management to discuss the $52 million dollar mall renovation that will be completed this summer.

They really thought they'd get away with such blatant displays of racism? I guess since Walker has, they decided why not? Pathetic!

There are problems at Southridge to be certain, but there are other ways to address the issues (loitering and theft)--establish a teen policy on weekends and increase security presence. These strategies shouldn't affect real shoppers much.
