Preparing for Macy's March 14 Opening
Exciting activities going on throughout the day.
With the grand opening of Macy's in Southridge Mall two weeks away, crews are working hard to put the finishing touches on the store occupying the former Yonkers location, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The grand opening ribbon cutting will be at the South Entrance at 8:45am. Greendale Village President John R. Hermes, store Manager Jennifer Duffy, other dignitaries, and Greendale's marching band will be there to celebrate Macy's Southridge, according to the Macy's website.
The 150,000-square-foot store will have two levels.
Macy's will host Charity Shopping Day on March 14 at their new store at Southridge Mall as a way to help local non-profit organizations raise funds.
Through the program, the Greendale Chamber of Commerce and other organizations will sell tickets for $5 each and keep 100% of the proceeds.
With the ticket, shoppers will receive $10 off on one purchase of $25 or more on March 10 at the Southridge Macy's. They will also receive a shopping pass with a discount amount that will be applied to purchases made on March 10. The ticket stub may be used to enter a sweepstakes for a $500 Macy's shopping spree.
The store will also give out free $10 Macy's gift cards to the first 500 customers after the ribbon cutting. Three winners will receive a $500 Macy's giftcard.
