Photos: Greendale Defeats South Milwaukee 14-7
Greendale Panthers top South Milwaukee Rockets in a defensive battle.
Although not very pretty or sweet, earned their fourth consecutive victory Friday night hosting South Milwaukee.
The Panthers scored both their touchdowns during the first half. The second half was quiet for the Panther offense as they had difficulty converting first downs and did not score. Greendale's defense was strong and steady; they denied South Milwaukee the opportunity to score on turnovers and allowed only one touch-down during the fourth quarter.
South Milwaukee had a much more difficult night. The Rockets had a hard time converting first downs. They were plagued with penalties and could not take advantage of turnovers that came their way. Their first touchdown was called back because of a penalty. Two Rocket players suffered injuries; paramedics carried one player in a stretcher before rushing him to the hospital.
