The Greendale School District office has moved from Highland View Elementary to its new location at Greendale High School at the old wood shop and auto garage.
The move was completed on July 6.
The Greendale Park & Recreation office has temporarily moved into the Highland View Elementary School library until its new offices are built at the Greendale Public Library on August 6 as part of the future Greendale Community Learning Center.
The school district office will remain open during the summer from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for July 13 and July 27.
The old district office area at Highland View is being renovated to create additional classrooms, which should be ready by late summer so that the Time 4 Learning Charter School classes and the Early Childhood Programs can be moved in before the beginning of the school year.
The well-coordinated effort included district workers, contractors and student workers, according to the district website.
The cost of the total project is estimated at $950,000 and includes all architectural design, construction, renovation, furniture and equipment at both Highland View and Greendale High School.
