Man Steals, Tries to Returns Blender Before Leaving Store, Police Say
A Cudahy man is accused of taking blender off the shelf at Kohl's then walking to a cash register and returning it.
A 28-year-old Cudahy man is accused of going into a store at Southridge Mall, taking an item off the shelf and taking it to a cash register to get a refund.
Brandon Michael Holtz was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday with one count of theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
Greendale Police officers were called to Kohl’s Department Store Wednesday after a security guard saw Holtz enter the store, take a Ninja blender off a shelf and then take it to a register in another department to get a refund. Holtz got $144 for the item and then left the store.
Holtz is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail while awaiting trial.
