A 36-year-old Milwaukee man forced his wife and a woman he was dating into sex at knifepoint, report Greendale police, but officers caught up with the man after a 911 call.
In the early morning hours of Feb. 17, police surrounded a van driven by Willis Lucas, who initially refused to get out of the vehicle. After 10 minutes, police said, Lucas gave up.
Lucas is charged with two counts of first degree sexual assault while using a dangerous weapon and obstructing/resisting police, police said. The charges carry a combined maximum prison sentence of 120 years and nine months.
Lucas dated a Greendale woman for about four or five months, according to the criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, even though he was married. The woman met Lucas through his wife; the two women worked together. On Feb. 16, after arguing about his marriage, Lucas drove the woman to his wife's house, where the man told her, "We are gonna get to the bottom of this, and you two are going to get along."
The three eventually wound up in the man's van. In the early morning hours of Feb. 17, the complaint states, the man pulled into an alley, parked in his sister's garage and removed a 12-inch knife from the glove compartment.
He ordered the two women to engage in sexual activity together, and then with him, police said. The man's wife told police she was not acting of her own free will.
After the assault, police said, the Greendale woman told police Lucas began driving around again and said he wanted her tax money. He drove to the woman's Greendale home, the complaint states. The woman went inside, but instead of getting the tax money called 911.
Police ordered the man and his wife out of the van, but the man refused. Other officers arrived and after 10 minutes, the man finally surrendered.
He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
