Man Cuts Self With Knife, Then Pushed Dad to the Floor, Police Say
A Greendale man is accused of fighting with his parents then cutting himself with a knife while drunk.
A 26-year-old Greendale man is accused of cutting his own hand with a knife, then pushing his dad to the ground during an argument.
The man was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of disorderly conduct domestic abuse with use of a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Monday evening, the man began drinking and arguing with his parents in their home in the 6000 block of Oakwood Lane West, where he demanded money and told his parents they were responsible for his issues.
He had had been living with his parents since he was released from jail in August and his parents told officers he’s a heroin user who drinks when he’s not using heroin.
At 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, he woke his parents up while they were sleeping. He was now highly intoxicated and demanded money, but they refused to give him some again. His dad said he would call the cops if he didn’t quiet down.
He then went into the kitchen, grabbed a large knife and purposely cut his hand near his wrist. His dad then opened the door in anticipation of the Greendale Police Department arriving soon, but Puskarich then slammed the door shut, pushed his dad to the ground, then went outside to wait for the police to get there.
Puskarich is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $250 bond while awaiting trial.
