I have to admit that I was a bit worried when first agreeing to participate  Greendale and Greenfield Patch Social Networking Challenge. My regional editor, Dustin Block, asked me, "Are you sure you want to do this? Greenfield is twice the population of Greendale." 

I didn't think about the populations differences when we  first announced the competition, however, after seeing the passion that was put into the AVA Walk I knew there was nothing to worry about.

In my short time here in Greendale I realized that Greendale may be a small community but it's a loud one.

Greendale kept its lead throughout the competition. Greendale Patch now has over 200 "likes" on Facebook and Greenfield still trails behind with 180.

I'd like to extend a virtual handshake to Greenfield editor Dave Cotey in gratitude.

Originally I was only going to give away one $25 gift restaurant certificate to one of the new Facebook user likes but since we did such an awesome job I'm going to give away two! The winners are ...drumroll please... Jess Horbinski and Linda Roepke Larson!
