Leadership Profile Report for the Search of the New Superintendent Released
Greendale residents can now view compiled report that will assist in the search for the new Greendale School District superintendent.
A leadership profile report and desired attributes for the next superintendent of the Greendale Schools have been released and are available for viewing. Current Superintendent Dr. William Hughes will leave the District on July 1 and the search for a new Superintendent is underway.
The report includes the findings of a leadership profile assessment conducted by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA). It will be used by the Board of Education to assist in identifying the next superintendent. HYA met with 118 community members, parents, faculty, staff and students in either individual interviews or focus group settings. HYA also compiled results of the online survey.
The online survey was completed by 167 individuals. Over half of respondents were parents (55%), almost 20% were community members, another 17% were staff, and the rest were administrators, students, and board members.
The interviews and focus groups also collected information regarding the strengths of the district and challenges or issues that it will be facing in the coming years. The input from the various focus groups regarding key characteristics desired in a new superintendent closely aligns with the data from the online survey.
Meanwhile the next superintendent is found, Business Manager Erin Green has been appointed as interim superintendent.
