There are 3 school board members up for election. Ok people, time to stop commenting and take this over the hill gang out of public service. I know of 2 or 3 who are going run and welcome them to make this a time for the elected board members to stand up, tell the people what they think and be the leaders they say they are.

The sudden departure of Dr. Hughes and the sub-standard hiring of the "mysterious" Dr. John Tharp (PLEASE do a Google search -- NOTHING before Greendale) has left our schools in dire shape. Ask around, Tharp is driving this District right into the ditch -- he is simply not up to the task. The current board hired him and doesn't have the courage to admit a huge mistake has been made. This is not what Greendale expects of our School Board. Our schools are what draw new families to Greendale. I am hopeful for change in April. Please remember that incumbents Tom Slota, Vicky McCormick and Mel Kuzmanovic voted to hire someone who is not qualified to lead our schools. We must hold this board responsible, our kids and families deserve better.

Really, you must be related to him. I personally have send him emails and placed phone calls, even stopped in at the district office and was told I had to leave a message. All of which he never responded to. Hind site being 20/20, I never would have moved to this district. But I will certainly be there on voting day.

I hope all those who think it's time for change step up and make change happen. All the great ideas in the world don't help if we don't act when the time is right for action.

Call your school board members and ask them how they think things are going in Greendale. Mary Lang has really hit the mark. Or better yet, don't call your school board members get organized, work hard and throw the bums out and get things back in the right direction. Greendale deserves better than this. The Greendale Patch is not reporting what is going on in the school district. If you are wondering if the crew is screwing up our schools, Check this out:

This never would have happened on Hughes's watch. This is our board of education and their district administrator's work.

I don't know if John Tharp is up to the job or not. But I do know that the school board can't be very pleased with the current level of the school district. If they are that is not good because they are responsible. if they aren't pleased, what are they going to do about it.
Parents and residents need to start monitoring this school district before it is too far gone.

It is well known that Dr. Tharp does not return calls or emails. If you see him in a meeting, ask him who is he texting or emailing on his phone. A Greendale Teacher.

Greendale staff had a bullying presentation this week as part of our inservice program. It was not very good and really a waste of our time.
