Enter Greendale's Public Celebrations Holiday Lights Contest
Winners get $100 to $25 gift certificates to Downtown Village shops. The contest runs through December 14.
Have you already started planning your holiday light display for this year? Are you known on your block as having the house that best rivals that of the Griswold family in the 1989 movie classic 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation?
If so, your efforts might just pay off in a contest being planned by the Village of Greendale. The Greendale Public Celebrations Committee is holding a local residential "Holiday Lights Contest" sponsored by the Greendale Entertainment Association.
Greendale residents would need to fill out the attached registration form by December 12 in order to participate in the contest and turn it in to the Greendale Village Hall.
Prizes would be gift certificates to businesses in the Village of Greendale.
1st Place: $100.00 Gift Certificate to Downtown Village Shops
2nd Place: $50.00 Gift Certificate to Downtown Village Shops
3rd Place: $25.00 Gift Certificate to Downtown Village Shops
Judging will take place on the weekend of December 14. Participants need to have their lights on the evenings of Dec. 14, 15, and 16. Homes will be judged based on curbside appeal only. Judges will not enter the property.
