There is continued interest in John Tharp and administrator's departure because where there is smoke, there is fire. Will the Greendale Patch cover John Tharp's three year contract renewal? The fact there are two public relations employees now working for Greendale Public Schools? That teachers and support staff are concerned about the direction of the Greendale Public Schools? That the board of trustees are silent and MIA like John Tharp?

Shouldn't this change have been part of the Superintendent's First 100 Day's Message to parents? This has been under consideration since 2011 - 12 school year.

I understand that running a school district is hard work. I also see on that Everything blog that parents are going to be nickel-and-dimed to death with fee increases next year. I urge the school board to reconsider. There are many families in Greendale that cannot afford the fees. Ask any parent how much it costs to send their child to Greendale. On top of taxes we are paying very hefty fees for everything.

The costs of running Greendale Public Schools are high. We pay them because we have faith that the kids come first. We don't complain much when we have faith in the future of the public schools which is now increasingly the chatter in our Village. Questions:

Why weren't the fee increases and the change in the internet system talked about by Dr. Tharp?

Why is the Kid Booster Fund being started by the foundation to cover the costs of needy kids and families but the administration just goes and wants to raise fees by over 5% at a time when interest rates on cd's is less than 1%.

Is the Greendale Finance Office in touch with the people, our village? The families?

How much of a raise are all the employee's going to get? Are we going to hear about that too on the Everything Blog?

Are we going to keep getting the good news stories and not the hard ones from the 2 public relations employees working in the Greendale Public Schools?

Did any of you complainers actually go to the school board meeting (and bring up your concerns?) No, of course not... Because they are for the most part, fabricated.

There seems to be more outrage over a $5 student fee increase to cover cuts from the state than there was when Walker and the WI Republicans cut more than $600,000 from the Greendale School District last year. We have already raked the teachers over the coals in salary freezes and loss of benefits. Where else should we get the $? Do you think the people of this village will let the school board raise taxes to pay for our public education? Huh, what a laugh!!! Education is an investment - You just invested $5 more than you did last year for a great public education system, get over it.

Will you loan me 5 bucks please?

I think it is interesting that there was a listening and learning time by John Tharp but there was no comment about possible changes in the internet student information system, the future of open enrollment in Greendale Public School District, student fees and the overall budget. What else is coming this spring or just after the election?

It is all about transparency and open communication.
