Update: Greendale Man Nearly Gets Hit with Full Soda Can at a Recall Stand

The man was collecting signatures when a youth in a passing car threw the full can.

A Greendale man who was collecting signatures for the Gov. Scott Walker recall was nearly hit in the head with a soda can by a youth in Franklin on Tuesday.

The man said he was on the intersection of 76th and Rawson collecting signatures when the male youth threw a full can of Mountain Dew at his head as he drove past him and yelled profanities at him. The can flew past his head and exploded on the street.

"When the officer did arrive he was very unsympathetic and was originally going to do nothing until I wrote down his name and told him I would follow up on his actions," said the man.
