Mail carriers who were stationed at the Greendale Post Office will be moved over to the Franklin-Hales Corner Post Office.
Tim Ratliff, a representative of United State Postal Service, said that the change will not affect customers. It will only be an internal change.
The Greendale Post Office will continue with its retail services. People will still be able to drop off mail, package, manage P.O. Boxes, etc.
The internal change is part of a optimization project plan to make best use of the current facilities by saving money and cutting costs, said Ratliff. The change will take place in November.
Some of the mail carriers will be transferred to Franklin or placed in other positions. Others are being let go.
