The Greendale School District has approved funding at a March 5 meeting that will towards the completion of the lighting project on the Brinkman II Field.

School District supporter have been working to gather funds and donation to complete the project for the baseball field that is located at the end of Broad Street.

A number of groups and vendors have pledged $22,500 for the project. The Nichols family has contributed a donation of $7,500 and the Greendale Panther Athletic Booster Club and Twi-Nite Baseball have also pledged another $7,500. Pieper Electric and Musco have reduced their quotes by about $5,000 and also included a ten-year warranty.

The school board approved an additional $27,500 from the Fund 80 fund balance to meet the total cost of about $50,000.
