Franklin Man Charged With 3rd OWI
Suspect is pulled over for a defective brake light when a Greendale police officer notices his eyes are glassy.
A Franklin man is facing his third drunk driving charges after he was pulled over in Greendale with a defective brake light.
Jeffrey A. Baudry, 51, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of third offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in county jail and $2,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Sept. 13, a Greendale police officer pulled Baudry over in the 5200 block of West Grange Avenue after he noticed a defective brake light on the car. Baudry had glassy eyes and said he drank two to four drinks before driving.
He was asked to get out of the car and the officer then smelled alcohol coming from Baudry. He then failed field sobriety tests and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for a blood test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.216.
Baudry was previously convicted of OWI in 1994 and 2001. He will make his initial appearance in court Oct. 22.
