Flood Warning Issued For Greendale

The National Weather Service says there's a 50 percent change that the Root River could flood and they've issued the warning for Greendale.

 

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Root River in Franklin and has included the warning for Greendale.

The Root River in Franklin had exceeded the eight-feet flood stage at 9:15 a.m. Monday and was at eight-feet one-inch. Minor flooding had occurred and was expected to continue rising this afternoon to eight-feet three-inches. However, the river is expected to fall below the flood stage early tomorrow.

According to the National Weather Service, that level means there is a 50 percent chance of flooding.

Forecasts for the Root River are not available for all areas, but the forecast does take into account prior precipitation levels.
