Chick-fil-A has the green light to build a 4,779-square-foot restaurant in Greendale.
The restaurant, located on 76th Street in front of the under-construction Walmart, will seat 109 people. It will also have a drive-through, outdoor dining, and an indoor playground. Typical hours of operations will be from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Village officials approved the restaurant on Tuesday, and representatives from Chick-fil-A said the restaurant would be completed sometime in July or August.
Wisconsin's only other Chick-fil-A is in Racine.
Following last year's announcement of a $52 million Southridge Mall renovation, a number of new restaurants and businesses have announced plans to open in the 76th Street corridor.
Panda Express and a proposed Longhorn Steakhouse will be built alongside each other at the old Leath Furniture location. Designer Shoe Warehouse will open at the former Borders building in March of 2013.
