Southridge Mall Casket Store DOA
Owners and Southridge aren't saying why the store won't open, but the franchisee says somebody didn't want the store in the mall.
Southridge Mall's customized casket store appears dead on arrival, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Owners of 'Til We Meet Again', a Kansas company, and Southridge Mall management are not saying much. The store was supposed to open Sept. 8 but the deal fell apart days before the expected opening.
"We can't comment on it right now. . . . Somebody else didn't want us there," said Tracy Rickert-Amweg, a franchisee of the Wichita-based Willow Group LLC.
The store would have been located at the east entrance to the mall near the new Macy's.
Southridge Mall is undergoing a $52 million renovations. Since last year's announcement of the renovation many stores have joined the tenant mix and many current stores have also renovated. Read the latest news about Southridge Mall on Patch.

I guess I don't have a problem with that. Maybe it should not be in a mall, but a free standing store instead. With Southridge attempting a "comeback", I can't see a casket store being a big draw. Maybe it's just me...
