Buca di Beppo might be coming to Southridge Mall near the new Macy's.
Eyes from all over the Milwaukee area have been on Southridge Mall since it began its $52 million dollar renovation.
According to a lease plan on the property owner's website, Buca di Beppo will be located inside the mall next to an entrance in the south end near Macy's. The plan is also attached to this article as a pdf.
Southridge Mall representatives were not able to confirm the new restaurant Wednesday. The mall cannot confirm or announce new businesses until all leasing paperwork is signed.
Many stores have left the mall, but many others have also opened.
Some stores that left the mall include Gap, Suncoast, World Market, Lane Bryant and Old Navy. New Southridge stores include Macy's, H&M, Bachrach, Sarku Japan and Crazy 8.
Journey Kidz, Justice, Ann Taylor Loft, Body Central and Tilly's are expected to open soon.
Several stores have also jumped on the renovation bandwagon.

This is great news, and hopefully the start of other restaurants doing the same thing. No reason Southridge can't be like Brookfield Square where these major restaurants are at entrances or attached to the mall itself. Now how about a Chili's, Stir Crazy, Fuddruckers, Five Guys, or Cheesecake Factory...

There was Fuddrucker's across the street (Greenfield fashion center) back in the 90s but it closed .Don't see it coming back anytime soon. I would love to see the other 4 places mentioned.

Excellent! And the fact that there isn't another suburban location would be a great draw too.

Geez, another chain restaurant. Guess they're the only ones who can afford the rent. From what I read in the comments sections it appears these chain restaurants are on the "it" list. I go to the mall to shop, not eat. Not enough choices in the food court or in the many chain restaurants already in the area? Is it no wonder why there is a weight issue in this country. People getting excited about chain restaurants. Try eating at home folks, you may like it even better than chain food.

I agree for most days Lee but for a group or family special Bucca is great fun and great food. It is also jobs especially for the twenty somethings. The gas saved will buy and extra appetizer!!

Bucca's is a great restaurant! How can you say there aren't enough choices in the food court??? Sounds like you don't enjoy eating out, so it doesn't matter what comes to the mall. We need nice sit down restaurants instead of "fast food". "That is the reason people are obese cause they eat fast food all the time!

LOL. You mean I shouldn't be eating out at chain restaurants every night?! Wow. Who knew?! Thanks for the tip. I'm excited that there is a robust commercial area in Greendale, instead of a million empty storefronts. I think your rant is a little misplaced. There are a lot of reasons for someone to be glad that a new business is coming to the area. And occasionally enjoying a night out at a restaurant is not anything to be ashamed about. I swear, some people will proselytize, lecture and tisk about ANYTHING.

I am just soooo excited....hopefully it will be a nice place to sit and eat and not just a facst food chain thing....that would be a major step down for Bucca!
