Brewers Outing Planned as Part of Village's 75th Anniversary Celebration

Come to a pre-game tailgate party at Greendale High School, then board a bus to Miller Park and watch the Milwaukee Brewers host the St. Louis Cardinals on May 5.

To celebrate the Village of Greendale’s 75th anniversary, the Greendale Chamber of Commerce will host a community-wide tailgate party and Milwaukee Brewers game outing May 5.

The tailgate party will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Greendale High School, 6801 Southway, and will be held rain or shine. Following the party, fans will board school buses and arrive at Miller Park in time to see the Brewers take on the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:10 p.m.

From March 15 through April 5, tickets for the Brewers game may be purchased online only for $20 each (plus a handling fee) through a link on the following websites: www.greendalechamber.com, www.greendale.org, www.greendale.k12.wi.us and www.greendalecelebrations.org.

Tickets for the tailgate party will be available for purchase from March 15 through April 26 at the Greendale Park and Recreation Department located in the Greendale Public Library, 5647 Broad Street. Ticket sale hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with extended hours on Tuesdays until 6:30 p.m. Cash or checks made payable to the Greendale Chamber of Commerce will be accepted. Tickets are $5 and include choice of sandwich, side salads, chips, cookie and a soft drink.

The Greendale Chamber of Commerce will cover the cost of transportion to the game. Children under the age of 3 are not permitted to ride on the school bus, and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Contact the Greendale Park and Recreation Department at (414) 423-2790 with questions.

I think the 3rd paragraph should be the second-to-last paragraph. You don't "need" to tailgate or ride with the group, but the tickets are a separate purchase. Then, you can click on any of the 4 links to get your actual Brewers ticket. Hope that's a little clearer.

Let's help support the Greendale Chamber of Commerce and the 75th Anniversary!

Yes, Jason is correct in that the tickets can be purchased separately. You can choose to go to just the tailgate party without going to the Brewers game.

Or vice-versa. You can tailgate at the stadium, then join your Greendale alum at the ballpark.

This was a great outing for the 50th Anniversary of Greendale. over 700 people attended. Thanks to the Greendale Chamber of Commerce ( Lenore and Cheryl) for putting this together for Greendale.
