UPDATED: Bill Clinton Speaking at UW-Waukesha Thursday
Wisconsin's getting high-profile political stops, including President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Vice President Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.
Updated at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday to include information about venue and time for Clinton; and information about Obama in Milwaukee
Former President Bill Clinton will be campaign in Waukesha Thursday on behalf of President Barack Obama, who is making a stop in Milwaukee on Saturday.
Doors open to Clinton’s event at UW-Waukesha’s Field House at 9:15 a.m. Thursday. The news release from Obama for America does not specifically state when the program begins.
The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required for entry.
Clinton isn’t the only big-name coming to Wisconsin. As a swing state, it’s being eyed as a crucial battleground for Republicans and Democrats.
Mitt Romney, whose plans to be in West Allis Monday were canceled because of Hurricane Sandy, will appear at the State Fair, 640 S. 84th St., on Friday. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and the program begins at 9:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, however, advance registration is required.
All attendees will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.
Wednesday
Days before the election, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will visit Racine on Wednesday.
Billed as a victory rally from the Romney-Ryan campaign, Ryan is slated to visit Memorial Hall at 2:15 p.m. with a mix of state and national GOP names.
Tickets are free, but registration is required by visiting the campaign's website.
Thursday
Obama announced that he would campaign in Green Bay on Thursday morning. Free tickets are available on the campaign's website. Obama canceled his visit that was scheduled for Tuesday because of Hurricane Sandy.
Friday
Vice President Joe Biden returns for stops in Beloit and Superior on Friday. Biden was in Wisconsin last week for stops at UW-Oshkosh and UW-Parkside in Kenosha.
Saturday
Late Wednesday, the Obama campaign announced that the president will make a stop in Milwaukee to speak at what's being described as a "grassroots event." No details on that visit were available.

Wisconsin Poll: Obama By 8 Points
Kyle Leighton 1:33 PM EDT, Wednesday October 31, 2012
President Obama has re-opened a solid lead in Wisconsin, according to a poll released Wednesday from in-state institution Marquette University Law School. Obama sees 51 percent to Republican candidate Mitt Romney's 43 percent in the current number, a big jump from the small 1-point edge that Obama held in mid-October.

And I am sure our little mayor will be there to take advantage of his unpopularity. If you watch channel 25 you will see the council member gag as they have to address him as mayor. Come on, I want a real Mayor! I can think of 3 council members who would be great and able to serve as mayor.

Esp. when the Co. Clerk "accidentally" finds just enough votes to win on some bizzare set of circomstances.

@FreeThought Troy -
Why on earth would you want to see Clinton? The destruction of our industrial economy, which for some reason you guys on the left blame Bush for despite not being able to cite anything that would actually cause economic decline, was largely caused by Clinton-era policy - NAFTA, favored trading nation status to China, and the deregulation of financial banks.
Two unfunded wars and lowering taxes would NOT cause an economy to decline. The policies Clinton put in place would and did.
Get it yet?

"Two unfunded wars and lowering taxes would NOT cause an economy to decline."
Of course they did...and did. Most of us read and comprehend history. Wishing doesn't make it so.
Makes sense for Clinton to be in Waukesha. Despite the herds of wing nuts it is the third largest collection of Democrats in the state.

@low life POS scum bag Schmitzy -
Please explain, in detail, exactly how lowering taxes and putting two wars on the credit card (which really isn't a wholly accurate statement) causes an economy to collapse.
Lowering taxes usually encourages economic activity - that's why local Democratic leaders regularly fight for tax incentives along side their GOP counterparts. Just look at the $100B in tax breaks and subsidies that Obama gave to green energy companies. But now, you're saying that tax cuts are bad for the economy?
And putting two wars on the credit card - didn't we also put WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, etc all on the credit card as well? And yet, doing so didn't cause economic ruin, did it? And if running up the balance on the credit card is bad, then why did Obama double the deficit and add a record breaking $6T in new federal debt over the last 4 years - wouldn't this also be considered to be bad for the economy?
Contrast with Clinton's policies: NAFTA caused the outsourcing of American jobs to Canada and Mexico. Giving favored trading nation status to China caused the outsourcing of American jobs to China. And you guys on the left are always saying that deregulating financial banks led to the housing and subsequent credit crisis, right? Now those policies all would definitely and logically seem to contribute to a failing economy, correct?
Time to wake up and start seeing REALITY!
Clinton = Toxic to America!

@low life POS scum bag Schmitzy -
Please explain in detail what policies initiated by Bush totally screwed up the country, and how exactly they screwed it up.
Hoffa can do this very easily for Clinton:
NAFTA - caused the outsourcing of American jobs to Canada and Mexico.
Favored trading nation status to China - caused the outsourcing of American jobs to China.
Deregulating financial banks - led to the housing bubble burst of 2008 and subsequent credit market freeze up.
