Baby Autumn Finally Comes Home
Just a few weeks after undergoing heart transplant surgery, 5-month-old Autumn Markos was able to leave Children's Hospital for the first time.

You probably didn't hear Lindsay or Alan Markos complain about shoveling or curse about meteorologists' shortcomings Wednesday.
No, Wednesday was a day the Markoses had dreamed about for a long time, snow and all. A day more than five months in the making.
It was the day the young Greenfield couple and members of St. Alphonsus Church in Greendale finally were able to bring their baby girl Autumn home.
"Autumn came home ... and we are so unbelievably excited," Lindsay Markos said in an email to Patch Wednesday afternoon. "Our family is finally complete!"
Autumn, who was born with two congenital heart defects Oct. 1, had spent the first five months of her life in the cardiac intensive care unit at Children's Hospital. Earlier this month, she underwent heart transplant surgery, and after several weeks of working through issues with her feeding, Autumn was finally cleared to come home.
"Alan and I can't stop smiling," Lindsay said. "It is such a relief to be home all under the same roof. (Siblings) Alexis and Aiden are very good with Autumn. They showed her the house, her room, some toys, and already helped me change her diaper."
