A Look Ahead on What's Going On in Greendale this Week

Check out the Village Center redevelopment concept open house, the Southridge Mall update, "Friends of Mark" Benefit for the Brunelli Family, Greendale Winter/Spring Market, and another performance brought by the Greendale Community Theatre.

 

Greendale has its quiet weeks but this one isn't one of them. Looking for something to do? Well, there are shopping events, fundraisers and informational events. Take a look.


Open House for Municipal Parking Lot Redevelopment Concepts, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Greendale Safety Center
The five concept drawings for the redevelopment of the parking lot on Parking Street. According to a press release from the Village, the five concepts have been developed to enhance and/or stabilize the tax base, improve the vitality of the Downtown area, attract customers, and build the Village’s reputation and value. The open house will allow residents to review concept drawings and provide input to Village representatives. 


Chamber of Commerce: Southridge Mall Update Event, April 19 at 7:30 a.m. at Harmony Inn
Mary Mokwa, Southridge Mall Manager and Todd Michaels, Greendale Village Manager will provide an update on changes underway at Southridge Mall and in the Village of Greendale. Greendale Chamber members and guests are $15 per person.


Greendale Community Theatre's Buffoonery Project, April 19-21 at 6:30 p.m. at  Muskego Lakes Country Club
Broadway has an incredible talent for taking movies that everyone loves and turning them into a spectacle.  It’s your most beloved cinematic masterpieces and turned them into pure musical buffoonery, in under 2 hours. Performances are on April 19, 20, and 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Muskego Lakes Country Club, 14020 Loomis Road, Muskego.  All show tickets are $10. Dinner tickets are $28.50 and starts at 6:30 p.m.


Cooking with CJ Celebrity Saturday, April 21 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greendale Visitor Center
Be a part of the audience when a Celebrity Guest comes to the Greendale Visitor Center Test Kitchen to cook delicious recipes with CJ from one of our Taste of Home cookbooks.


"Friends of Mark"- Benefit for the Brunelli Family, April 21 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion
Mark Brunelli was diagnosed a couple of years ago with melanoma cancer. Come show your support with a smile, a hug and words of love. Friends of Mark will be holding a fundraising benefit to help off-set his medical bills.


Greendale Winter/Spring Market, April 21 at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village Education Center
Don't miss another popular open market brought to you by the Greendale Parks and Rec Department. Come check out some apples, artisian cheese, dairies, oils, handcrafted jewelry and more.


Second Annual AVA Walk, April 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtwon Greendale
The walk is in honor of 5-year-old Ava Marie Zimmerman who was killed by a car as she crossed the street in the Village Center the morning of April 14, 2010. AVA stands for Advocating Vehicle Awareness, and the event also aims to increase pedestrian safety awareness for motorists. Dance routines, speeches and a performance by Grace Webber will be featured.
