42 Years on Display at Southridge
Photo gallery highlights changes since the mall's opening.
What's your earliest memory of Southridge Mall?
Take a stroll down memory lane to jog your memory. A retrospective look of the mall and how it has changed over the years is on display in a hallway on the second floor.
There are pictures of the mall's opening celebration in 1970 and old pictures of stores like Gimbels contrasted with current pictures.
Of special interest may be the touching pictures of families and children enjoying the mall. Somehow, the families and children look the same, despite the 70's clothes and 40-year age difference.

That's a must see for me! My Mom was an original employee of Gimbels and all of my sisters and I worked there, as well. I spent almost every Saturday at Southridge when it opened and as an employee of Gimbels, walked the corridors more times than I'd like to admit;) Can't wait to see this!

I'm pretty sure my first penny wish was made at the Southridge fountain.
