WORK BEGINS ON HOSE TOWER GROUNDS BUILDING
Greendale Historical Society Reports on Phase I – Interior Preparation
The Greendale Historical Society has begun the interior phase of renovating the Hose Tower and Grounds Building to readapt it as a community center. Jack Reichl, of Reichl Construction, and his crew were there last week for interior work and removal of some temporary structures.
Jack, a long-time Greendale resident, has volunteered his services as Construction Manager for the project and will be coordinating all the bids for the subcontractors to install a new concrete floor and prepare for installation of public restrooms and other areas. The interior of the building is scheduled to be substantially complete by August, 2013. Through local, state and federal grants as well as significant private donations and pledges, the Historical Society has raised over $200,000 for this project.
