John and Bernice were married for 64 wonderful years.  They had met while singing with a Slovenian young adult chorus, and have shared a great love for their Slovenian heritage ever since.  Bernice loved visiting Greendale so much when she was younger, she was determined to live there someday.  That dream came true when she and John and their 4 1/2 children (one on the way!) moved here in 1961. They raised a total of 6 children here, all of which are graduates of Greendale High School.  They lived in the home they built for 51 years.  She was very active in all of her children's activities.  From Cub Scouts and Brownie leader to chaperoning school field trips to driving them to all of their sports activities, she was always there for whatever her kids needed, and always with a smile!  Her kids were the most important thing to her all through her life, and the feeling was definitely mutual!  She will be missed greatly, but we know she is in a better place!

Visitation will be at St. Alphonsus Church on Friday, December 28th from 3 - 5 p.m.  Mass at 5 p.m.  Memorials to the SNPJ Scholarship Fund or charity of choice.
